Food for Thought
We've no doubt that everybody in media is aware of the ban on advertising foods which are high in fat, salt and sugar on children's television channels. But are parents aware, and are they also aware therefore that any food advertising now carried on channels such as Cartoon Network and Boomerang must pass these stringent regulations.
We at Turner Media Innovations wanted to find out just what parent's attitudes were to food advertisers targeting their children directly and to understand what drives the decisions they make when shopping for their family's snacks and meals.
We commissioned an excellent piece of research entitled 'Food is Good'. The findings are fascinating and will hopefully convince food marketers and the media buying community that our channels are the perfect medium for promoting HFSS compliant food and drink products to a highly receptive audience.
