The MENA region is a region of great potential; more than 102.1 million of its total 305.5 million population are kids. Since Cartoon Network Arabic is a free to air channel, we have the potential to reach all kids across the region especially considering that only 2% of the total population have access to Pay TV. In addition, the extensive array of exciting shows available on the channel plays a vital role in our success. Ranging from programs such as Ben10 Omniverse, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Lazy Town, and other hit titles such as The Smurfs and Tom & Jerry, CN Arabic has a show for every taste and gender.

As a result of the free to air strategy implemented and the richness of our programming schedule, our penetration and viewing figures have increased rapidly since launch.

  • Cartoon Network Arabic launched successfully as a free to air channel on October 10, 2010. 
  • The Channel launched with 100% Arabic content and over 500 episodes including Cartoon Network originals, locally produced shows and original productions.
  • Highlighting the importance of this region to Turner broadcasting, the company successfully recruited local talent and expertise to open and run the Dubai based commercial operation and also recently announced the opening of its creative arm in Abu Dhabi - "Cartoon Network Studios Arabia".
  • The Cartoon Network Arabic website (www.cartoonnetworkarabic.com) also launched successfully in October 2010 and in May 2011 the website recorded more than 190,000 monthly unique visitors and more than 6,300,000 monthly page views. Ben10 show ranked 1st on the list with more than half a million page views on its Micro-Site during the month of May alone.
  • Cartoon Network Arabic also secured a place within the Social Media Network in the Middle East through CN Arabic's facebook group with more than 9000 Arabic speaking fans till date (June 2011)
