Turner Media Innovations Launches Bandai Ben 10 – Tesco Sponsorship

Turner Media Innovations has secured a sponsorship deal for Bandai's best-selling range of Ben 10 products, which will see supermarket giant Tesco sign up as retail partner. Set to run on Cartoon Network both on-air and online from the 9th until the 22nd October, the deal is Turner Media Innovations's first alliance with Tesco.

Turner Media Innovations has created spots and bumpers promoting Bandai's Ben 10 toy range, all of which will carry drive-to-store messaging. The deal will also include Tesco sponsorship of the official Ben 10 microsite, and promotional banners and buttons on cartoonnetwork.co.uk.

In addition there will be an on-air and online half-term competition on Cartoon Network. Prizes will include Ben 10: Race Against Time DVDs, Bandai Ben 10: Deluxe Omnitrix watches, and VIP tickets to see the Ben 10 sponsored car race in the final of the Pickup Truck racing championships at Brand's Hatch.

Adam Eagle, Director of Sponsorship & Promotions at Turner Media Innovations says: "We're delighted to be working with Bandai on this exciting Ben 10 promotion, and having a high profiler retailer such as Tesco on board is great for all parties. We know that toy sales are increasingly boosted by grocers in particular, and therefore felt it was imperative that we too increased the breadth of our retailer tie-ins."
