Turner Broadcasting Debuts 'Bens 10 Awards' for Ben 10: Alien Swarm world premiere

Turner Broadcasting is rolling out the second phase of 2009 marketing activity for the UK's number one boys' brand Ben 10.  To support the world premiere of much anticipated movie Ben 10: Alien Swarm, the broadcaster has teamed up with PR firm Cow and events agency Added Dimension to stage the inaugural Ben's 10 Awards.

Hosted by Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon, Ben's 10 Awards will take place on Sunday 15 November at the Unicorn Theatre in London Bridge.  The event will be attended by the film's cast and director Alex Winter, and will also play host to an audience of 300 Ben 10 fans, who will have won places via a digital awareness campaign.

The digital campaign invites kids to upload videos or photos of themselves performing cool tricks - ranging from action to alien, comedy to brainiac - with the best rated entries earning invites to this special event.  On the day, 10 lucky kids will be presented with awards and become the first ever Ben's 10 team, and will feature on-air on Cartoon Network and in the Ben 10 magazine.  There will also be a performance by dance troupe Diversity, as well as the film's screening.

Barnaby Dawe, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Turner Broadcasting said: "After staging the UK's largest kids premiere for the launch of animation series Ben 10: Alien Force, we knew we had to pull something big out of the bag for the movie.  Ben's 10 Awards is a fitting tribute to this action-packed film, taking the number one boys' franchise to explosive new heights."
