100 Million Game Plays For Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator

9 June 2010

Turner Broadcasting's online game creation tool for kids, Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator, has hit the 100 million game plays milestone across Europe, and has seen over 300,000 games created.

Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator launched on Cartoon Network in the UK in September 2009, and was subsequently rolled out across the following 11 European territories: Italy, Spain, Germany, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France and Netherlands.

Based on the hit Cartoon Network series, the innovative online tool enables kids to build and customise their own online games. Games uploaded to the Cartoon Network website can be played, shared and rated by visitors in each country. The site achieves high user interaction and offers advertisers a great platform to engage with kids aged 6 to 11.

Caroline Casey, Director of Digital Development, EMEA at Turner Broadcasting says: "Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator has set a new standard in gaming for kids, and we're thrilled by its success. It provides our audience with the tools to create their own sophisticated platform games and then rate or share them with their friends. Its ease of use and unique level of engagement has resulted in an application with distinct longevity, due to the wealth of new content added daily."

The most popular game is Thunder Patrol Rocket, created by an 8-year old in the United Kingdom. It features Ben 10 alien Swampfire and has been played more than 400,000 times and shared with over 270 friends.

Ben 10: Alien Force Game Creator shows that audiences appear to relish a challenge, as the most popular games are also some of the most difficult created. Each day hundreds of new games continue to be created by visitors to Cartoon Network websites across Europe.
