New Campaign: LEGO Star Wars Clone Wars sponsorship
LEGO are sponsoring Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network for the third time since February 2009, which is a testament to the great success of the first two campaigns. LEGO are sponsoring the first series from February to mid April, and then the brand new, second series until mid July.
To support the on-air sponsorship, we are also creating a webdrive promotion which will go live at the end of March. The webdrive will showcase the new range of LEGO Star Wars products including the fantastic limited edition Silver Clone Trooper, exclusive to Toys R Us. It will also drive kids online to a bespoke LEGO Star Wars microsite.
The microsite will feature two fantastic new games, Jetpack Training and Clone Walker Construction (names tbc). Playing either of the games will enable kids to enter the competition for the chance to win fantastic LEGO Star Wars prizes. There will also be a 'send-to-a-friend' section in the form of a gallery of all twelve of the immensely popular sponsorship credits from 2009; kids are invited to pick their favourite and email it to a friend, inviting them to come and check the site out for themselves!
LEGO Star Wars will also have a permanent 728x90 leaderboard banner on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars website homepage for the length of the on-air sponsorship.
